Amendments to law on citizenship 2014-06-23 17:20:00 Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amending Federal Law On Russian Federation Citizenship. The Federal Law is aimed at simplifying procedures for the adoption of Russian Federation citizenship by foreign nationals and stateless persons living on Russia’s territory who are entrepreneurs, investors, highly-trained experts and graduates of Russian institutions of higher education. Simplification of procedures also concerns foreign nationals and stateless persons permanently residing on Russia’s territory and recognised native speakers of the Russian language in accordance with the Federal Law On Russian Federation Citizenship.
