Dmitry Medvedev ordered that a monument be erected in Moscow to honour the towns and cities awarded the title of City of Military Glory 2009-06-24 12:00:05 The order stipulates that a monument will be erected in Moscow’s Alexander Garden to honour the cities awarded the title of City of Military Glory. The monument will be completed in time for the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on May 9, 2010. The title is conferred on towns and cities whose defenders showed courage, steadfastness and heroism during fierce battles.
