Draft law on Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has been submitted to State Duma 2010-09-27 13:00:00 Dmitry Medvedev submitted a draft law on the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation to the State Duma. The draft law defines the tasks, principles, and organisation of the Investigative Committee’s operation, its system, the order of service in its ranks, and other aspects of its work. The draft has been prepared due to the fact that the two-year work of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office Investigative Committee has shown that there is a need to make a clearer distinction between the functions of public prosecutor’s supervision and those of preliminary investigation.
