On September 27, 2010 the President of Russia signed an Executive Order establishing the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on the basis of the Investigative Committee of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office. Alexander Bastrykin was the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
