Trip to Primorye Territory
During his trip to Primorye Territory, Vladimir Putin took part in the 5th Eastern Economic Forum held at the Far Eastern Federal University.
Russian-Indian talks took place on the sidelines of the forum. Following the talks, Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopted a joint statement, Through Trust and Partnership to New Heights of Cooperation.
The Indian leader and the President toured the Zvezda Shipyard in the town of Bolshoi Kamen and the exhibition, Streets of the Far East.
On the same day, the President chaired a meeting of the State Council Presidium dedicated to the national development programme of the Russian Far East to 2025 and until 2035.
After that, Vladimir Putin visited an exhibition of priority development areas in the Far East and watched the launch of several enterprises via videoconference.
On the second day, as part of the forum, the President met with foreign leaders participating in the EEF. In particular, Vladimir Putin spoke with Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad, Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and Vice Premier of the State Council of China Hu Chunhua.
The President took part in the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum themed The Far East – Development Horizons.
Following the plenary session, Vladimir Putin met with Head of the Political Council of the Ukrainian party Opposition Platform – For Life Viktor Medvedchuk.
In addition, the President attended the Jigoro Kano International Judo Tournament for young men and women under 18.
On the final day of his trip, Vladimir Putin discussed the development of the Russian Far East with the public in Primorye Territory.
