The exchange of views continued in connection with Britain’s unfriendly and provocative policy towards Russia.
The issue of regional conflicts was addressed, in particular, the situation in Syria, where the withdrawal of the civilian population from Eastern Ghouta continues successfully.
The President informed the participants in detail about the telephone conversations he had with a number of foreign heads of state and heads of international organisations, during which substantive issues of bilateral relations and international affairs were discussed.
There was also a discussion of current issues on the domestic socioeconomic agenda.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Nikolai Patrushev, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov, Foreign Intelligence Service Director Sergei Naryshkin, and Special Representative for Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov.
