Protecting and promoting teenagers’ health will be the subject of the meeting. Affordable high-tech medical care, socialisation issues, education, sport, fitness and a healthy lifestyle will all be discussed.
Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova and Director of the Children’s Health Research Centre Alexander Baranov will present the main reports.
The Coordinating Council was set up in September 2012 to coordinate work between the authorities at all levels, public associations and research organisations to implement the National Children’s Action Strategy. Aside from addressing issues directly related to implementing the Strategy, which covers the period to 2017, the Council also drafts proposals for the President on general priority areas for state policy on children and their interests.
The Coordinating Council is headed by Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.
