The Council members will brief the President on the work accomplished since the last meeting on October 14, 2014. In particular, they will report on the results of monitoring to identify cases of human rights violations at temporary detention facilities for foreign citizens operated by the Federal Migration Service and in facilities run by the Interior Ministry and the Federal Penitentiary Service. The President will also be briefed on the work of the Council’s mobile monitoring group at the municipal and regional elections that took place in September.
The Council members will present their initiatives and proposals for improving laws on non-governmental organisations, defending drivers’ rights, and ensuring fire safety in Russia’s forests.
