This will be the Russian Popular Front’s third Action Forum this year. The two other forums were held in Stavropol and Yoshkar-Ola.
This time the agenda includes issues of energy and gas supply, agricultural development and other promising economic aspects in Crimea, including the development of the tourism potential, environmental protection, cultural heritage sites, the quality of housing and utility services and the accessibility of education.
The two-day forum will have three themes: Education and Culture as a Basis of National Identity, Quality of Life, and Honest and Effective Economy.
The Russian Popular Front was established in May 2011. It is chaired by Vladimir Putin and has branches in all the 85 regions of Russia.
The Russian Popular Front is focused on monitoring the implementation of the May 2012 Presidential Executive Orders and fighting corruption and squandering or ineffective spending of state funds.
The Action Forum: Crimea is being held in Yalta on October 25 and 26.
