On March 7, ahead of International Women’s Day, at the invitation of female officers of the mounted and tourist police, Vladimir Putin will visit the First Operational Police Regiment of the Russian Interior Ministry Main Department for Moscow. The invitation was received on February 28 during a tour of a themed exhibition before an expanded meeting of the Interior Ministry Board.
The President will meet with female officers of the regiment, and review the regiment’s operations and special duties of the mounted and tourist patrols.
The First Operational Police Regiment comprises two mounted police battalions as well as a tourist police battalion.
