Vladimir Putin will visit the Tulazheldormash plant, a leading machine-building enterprise in Russia. With more than 150 years of history, the plant is listed as a key organisation of the Russian economy in the industrial sector, as well as a strategically important enterprise of the Tula Region. The plant primarily produces vehicles, machinery and equipment for the construction, repair and maintenance of railways.
While at the plant, the President will hold a videoconference with the State Council Presidium on developing Russian industry under sanctions pressure. The main reports will be delivered by Tula Region Governor and Chair of the State Council Commission for Industry Alexei Dyumin and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
The meeting participants are expected to share proposals on increasing support for the industry, expanding the activities of development institutions, mitigating the risks of the technology lag, and training high-level engineering and skilled personnel in priority areas.
