State Prizes of the Russian Federation to be presented in the Kremlin on June 12 2016-06-11 15:10:00 On Russia Day, June 12, 2016, the President will present 2015 National Awards of the Russian Federation for outstanding achievements in science and technology, literature and the arts, as well as humanitarian activities. Among this year’s winners are Eric Galimov, one of the world’s leaders in modern geochemistry; leading biologists Sergei Lukyanov and Yevgeny Sverdlov; Sergei Nedopasov, a molecular biomedicine specialist; artistic and general director of the Academic Maly Theatre – Theatre of Europe Lev Dodin; film director Sergei Ursulyak; and artistic director of the Kuban Cossack Choir Viktor Zakharchenko. The Award for outstanding achievements in humanitarian activities will go to Valery Gergiev, general director and artistic director of the State Academic Mariinsky Theatre. The award presentation ceremony will be followed by a reception on Kremlin’s Ivanovskaya Square to mark Russia Day, a national holiday in Russia.
