Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin will tell the President about the implementation of this major Arctic project directly from the Vostochna-Messoyakha oilfield. On the same day, Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and Priority Projects to discuss measures to support small business and comprehensive development of transport infrastructure. * * * The Vostochno-Messoyakha oilfield is being developed by Messoyakhaneftegaz, a joint venture between Gazprom Neft and Rosneft (50/50). Gazprom Neft is in charge of operational management. The field’s geological reserves include over 340 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate, and over 113 billion cubic metres of gas. The project has been implemented in complete isolation from transport and other infrastructure. Oil from the field will first enter the Zapolyarye-Purpe mainline system through a 98-kilometre long pressure pipeline.
