On October 31, Vladimir Putin will take part in plenary session of 6th World Congress of Compatriots Living Abroad 2018-10-30 16:05:00 The 6th World Congress of Compatriots will be held in Moscow from October 31 to November 1 and will bring together over 700 participants, including 400 delegates from 98 countries. The forum will also be attended by leaders from the Russian Federation Federal Assembly, central and regional executive authorities, as well as representatives of religious and non-governmental associations. The previous 5th Congress of Compatriots was held in Moscow in November 2015. The upcoming Congress will sum up activities over the past three years and outline guidelines for future cooperation. Priority issues include protecting the rights and legitimate interests of compatriots, promoting Russian-language education and Russian-language media abroad and working with young people.
