Belaventsev Oleg


Presidential Plenipotentiary to the North Caucasus Federal District
Born September 15, 1949, in Ostrov, Pskov Region.
In 1971, he graduated from Sevastopol Higher Naval Engineering School.
In 1971–1993 served in the Armed Forces on North Fleet atomic submarines and at General Staff.
In 1994–2001 held management posts in Russia’s system for military technology cooperation with foreign states.
In 2001–2012 Oleg Belaventsev was Director of Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s (EMERCOM) Agency for Support and Coordination of Russian Participation in International Humanitarian Operations.
In 2012 he was Head of the General Affairs Department of the Moscow Region Governor and Moscow Region Government.
In 2012–2014 Mr Belaventsev was General Director of OAO Slavyanka.
On March 21, 2014 he was appointed Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Crimean Federal District.
Mr Belaventsev has been decorated with the Order of the Red Star, the Order For Military Services, and the Order of Honour.
Married, has a son and daughter.
