Vladimir Putin paid a working visit
to Japan, where he participated in the G20 summit. The leaders of the states
participating in the summit discussed development issues of the global economy,
trade and investment. Following the meetings, the G20 Osaka Leaders’
Declaration was adopted.
On the sidelines of the event, the President of Russia held a number of bilateral meetings and took part in trilateral talks between Russia, India and China, as well as in the BRICS
leaders’ meeting. As the international forum’s official programme concluded,
the President answered the media’s questions.
Following the G20 summit, Vladimir Putin and Shinzo
Abe participated in the closing ceremony for the Cross Years of Russia and Japan. The two officials held bilateral talks and made statements to the press.
During the President’s visit to Japan, a number of Russian-Japanese documents
were signed.
