The message reads, in part:
”We consider the activities of your reputable association to be invariably aimed at achieving durable peace and creating the necessary conditions for the sustainable socioeconomic development of African countries. I expect that the increasing desire of the African community to take responsibility for their continent's destiny into their own hands, in cooperation with foreign partners, will contribute to strengthening the organisation's role in regional processes and to a more balanced system of international relations.
Russia has always attached great importance to developing friendly relations and cooperation with Africa. We are prepared to continue to provide comprehensive assistance to the continent as part of broader international efforts, as well as develop close and mutually beneficial relations on a bilateral basis with African countries.
In this connection I cannot but mention the recent positive dynamic in Russia-Equatorial Guinea cooperation: we have reached a number of agreements in energy, and the efforts of Russian companies to participate in investment projects in your country have noticeably stepped up.
I am convinced that further strengthening of the fruitful cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea is absolutely in the interests of our countries and peoples. Along with this, we recognise that the intensification of our bilateral contacts at various levels, including our personal meetings, will contribute to accelerating the realisation of mutually beneficial bilateral projects, as well as the expansion of relations between Russia and the African Union.“
