The meeting was attended by the heads of several federal bodies of executive authority, the higher judiciary, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Accounts Chamber and the Presidential Executive Office.
The discussion centred on Russia's participation in the monitoring procedures of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the Working Group of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions, and the interaction with the OECD Public Governance Committee and Regulatory Policy Committee.
Other issues discussed included preparations for the Russia-EU expert meeting on anti-corruption, which will be held in Brussels in December. It has been proposed that the central theme of the meeting is to be anti-corruption cooperation between the business community, the state sector and society.
The decision has been adopted to continue constructive cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) on the implementation of joint anti-corruption projects. Instructions have been issued to the relevant Russian agencies to provide expert support to these projects.
In addition, the meeting discussed international cooperation for the return of stolen assets and the activities of the newly established by the Prosecutor General’s Office national centre for the support of international cooperation in the detection, arrest, confiscation and return of assets obtained through corruption.
Targeted instructions have been issued following the discussion on the implementation of the Commission’s decisions.
