Official visit to China. Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia
Russian-Chinese talks were held in Shanghai, resulting in a Joint Declaration and the signing of a package of documents on cooperation. Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping made a statement to the press, held a brief meeting with members of Russian and Chinese business communities, and attended the opening of the Russian-Chinese Naval Interaction 2014 exercises. The President of Russia participated in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia summit. Vladimir Putin also held individual meetings with heads of foreign states and international organisations. In addition, the President of Russia and President of China witnessed the signing of documents on gas supplies from Russia to China via the Eastern Route. Following the official visit to China, Vladimir Putin answered journalists’ questions.
