The message reads, in part:
“The Caspian states have traditionally developed relations as friends and good neighbours. We respect each other’s lawful interests and take the view that we all share responsibility for the Caspian Sea’s future. These same principles form the basis for the partnership between our business communities.
The Forum has a broad agenda that includes deepening trade and economic ties, improving the investment climate, expanding cooperation in industry, the energy sector, agriculture, healthcare and other fields. You will examine opportunities for developing advanced science-intensive production and efficient transport systems and will reflect together on comprehensive measures to fully develop the Caspian’s unique potential and develop a large and efficiently functioning market in the neighbouring region.
I am confident that the Forum’s proposals and initiatives will help to strengthen our mutually advantageous and multifaceted cooperation and will facilitate growth of direct contacts between business communities in the Caspian Sea countries.”
