Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amending the Federal Law on Protecting Population and Territories Against Natural Disasters and Industrial Accidents.

The Federal Law is aimed at improving the regulatory framework in carrying out anti-terrorist protection of critically important and potentially dangerous facilities.

In particular, the Federal Law specifies the objectives of the state system for the prevention of and relief efforts following disasters.
