The State Duma and the Government of the Russian Federation were given recommendations to adopt legislative amendments to ensure public protection of water-based cultural heritage sites.
The Government, the Foreign Ministry, the Federal Security Service and other relevant federal executive bodies were instructed to discuss the proposals of the Russian Geographical Society concerning the support of an international research expedition to the Russian Arctic and the territories of the Arctic Council member states, and to take the appropriate decisions following the discussion.
The Government was instructed to take necessary decisions to ensure that the modules of the new wintering facilities of the Vostok Station are transported to the Antarctic in 2021 with a view to it becoming fully operational in 2024.
The Government was also instructed to assist with implementing the Russian Geographical Society’s proposals on developing a new publicly accessible digital world atlas with Russian geographical names.
