Taking part in the meeting were Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev, representatives of federal executive government bodies, state corporations and organisations, and the expert aviation community.
The commission members and attendees focused on implementing the President’s and the Government’s instructions and the decisions of the commission aimed at ensuring safe development of light and general-purpose aviation.
They noted that flight safety depends on the development of the industry as a whole, in part, on the status of legal regulations and law enforcement practice, and the availability and quality of the public services offered.
The commission noted that the programme and target development indicators in this segment, as well as their systematic analysis and evaluation are practical instruments in ensuring the required changes.
The commission also reviewed a draft plan of legislative and institutional changes (a roadmap) aimed at developing ultralight aviation and implementing the initiative on a pilot project on developing small aircraft in an experimental legal mode.
