Omsk Oil Refinery is one of Russia’s most technologically advanced oil refineries and one of the world’s biggest with output capacity of 19.5 million tons a year.
The President visited the refinery’s central control room and watched via videoconference the construction of a new installation for producing high-octane fractions used in motor fuel.
The subjects on the agenda at the meeting with the region’s governor included anti-crisis measures and the state of work to build industrial facilities in the region.
Mr Medvedev also visited the Assumption Cathedral in Omsk.
