The message reads, in part:
“This ancient holiday, which came from the depths of centuries, symbolises the awakening of nature, people’s desire for purity of thought and deed, and unites the peoples who profess Buddhism around traditional values and original spiritual and cultural foundations.
I note with satisfaction that Russia’s Buddhist organisations take an active part in the life of the country, focus constantly on harmonising the interreligious and interethnic dialogue, strengthen peace and harmony in society, take care of those who need help, support participants in the special military operation and their families. And of course, their contribution to the education of young people, and to the implementation of popular educational, patriotic and civil initiatives, is important.
Such a great, truly selfless work deserves the sincerest respect.”
