The message reads, in part:
“You have devoted yourself to the noble mission of a teacher and have worked in education for more than forty years. You are sincerely loved and respected in your native village of Starinka for your wisdom and tenderness, your careful and caring attitude towards people. Thanks to your upbringing, your son – Azamat Khairzhanov – grew up to become a real man, a true patriot. He acted bravely, displayed courage and loyalty to his military duty during a difficult time for the Motherland as part of the special military operation.”
Private-first class Azamat Khairzhanov, 29, died in May of 2022. When his company was attacked, he provided cover for the withdrawal of his brothers-in-arms, destroying two tanks of the enemy in the process, but was mortally wounded. He was awarded the Order of Courage posthumously.
