The message reads, in part:
“Today Astrakhan is welcoming participants from all over Russia, including from the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and the Zaporozhye Region. You all are united by your sincere love for your Motherland and eagerness to serve your country with military and labour achievements like your fathers and grandfathers taught you.
You can be rightly proud of the remarkable and heroic history of Russian Cossacks. Throughout the centuries, many generations of your ancestors bravely fought for the freedom and independence of this country while always preserving their authentic customs and caring about their children’s upbringing.
It is good to see these timeless spiritual, moral and patriotic traditions continue. These days, young Cossacks are just as selflessly fighting shoulder to shoulder with their brothers-in-arms and protecting Russia in the special military operation.
I am certain that this conference will be a constructive event that will evoke wide public interest, and that the ideas and initiatives concerning multiple fields proposed by young Cossacks will certainly be realised through actual deeds and projects.”
