For mass heroism and valour, fortitude and courage displayed by the brigade personnel in combat operations to protect the Fatherland and state interests in conditions of armed conflicts, the President resolved to award the honorary Guards designation to the 288th Warsaw Red Banner Order of Kutuzov Artillery Brigade. From now on, it shall be referred to as the 288th Guards Warsaw Red Banner Order of Kutuzov Artillery Brigade.
