The Governor reported, in particular, that more than 150,000 people have had their housing conditions improved, people have been resettled from more than half of the housing deemed no longer fit for habitation, 500,000 square metres of new housing has been built, more than 80 historical heritage sites have been rebuilt, and Yaroslavl’s river embankment area has been developed.
The region’s social and economic situation was also on the agenda at the meeting. Mr Vakhrukov said that a number of investment projects have been launched in the region, several new plants have been built, and work is in progress on developing a pharmaceuticals cluster.
