The Presidential Executive Office has been instructed to coordinate the development and implementation of a National Technology Initiative, taking into account instructions issued earlier.
Instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation, jointly with the Presidential Council for Science and Education presidium and the Russian Academy of Sciences concern, in part, preparing several regulatory legal acts, suggestions on pooling scientific organisations’ intellectual resources and infrastructure, and a plan for restructuring scientific organisations.
The Government has also been instructed, jointly with the Presidential Council for Science and Education presidium and the Russian Academy of Sciences, to complete the work on priority areas for developing science, technology and engineering in Russia, taking into account the need to remove critical dependence on foreign products and technologies. The Russian Academy of Sciences has been instructed to undertake the monitoring and efficiency assessment functions in relation to the scientific organisations’ activities regardless of their jurisdiction.
Instructions were also given on providing housing to young scientists employed by scientific organisations, increasing monthly salaries for the Russian Academy of Sciences’ staff who have academician or associate member status.
The Federal Agency for Scientific Organisations has been instructed jointly with the Russian Academy of Sciences to create a talent pool for management positions for scientific organisations and their affiliates.
