With the aim of preventing corruption in the public procurement system, the President instructed Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina and Director of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service Igor Artemyev to take measures needed to guarantee the authenticity of information posted on the Russian Federation public procurement official site www.zakupki.gov.ru, and report on the results in October 2009.
Prosecutor General Yury Chaika was instructed to monitor compliance with the laws regulating public procurement.
There had been various reports of inappropriate and invalid input data on the site www.zakupki.gov.ru, including from people visiting Mr Medvedev’s blog.
