The Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Moscow, in cooperation with the Russian Orthodox Church, have been instructed to develop a set of measures to preserve the historical appearance of the Novodevichy Convent ensemble as an especially valuable object of the Russian Federation’s heritage, including by addressing the following issues:
- modernisation of energy and other utility systems with consideration for the building’s future development;
- improvement of cultural-historical and museum aspects;
- organisation of events dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the founding of Novodevichy Convent.
