The Government, together with regional executive authorities in the Far East Federal District, shall assess airlines’ demand for aircraft designed for local passenger flights in the Far East Federal District, agree on optimal selection of aircraft types, and present proposals on consolidated purchases of such aircraft in the aim of making most effective use of budget funds.
Instructions to the Government also concern drafting a strategy for developing regional and local air transport in Russia, offering development solutions for the industry as a whole, including developing aircraft manufacturing, aviation infrastructure and aviation-related businesses and training high-qualified professional personnel.
Further instructions to the Government concern rebuilding airports in the Far East Federal District, state support for modernising aircraft fleets operated on local routes in the Far East, establishing aircraft servicing and maintenance centres, and providing training for flight personnel.
The Government shall also examine the matter of state support for buying Russian-made helicopters to be used in organising intra-regional and local regular air transportation.
The Government, the Federal Security Service and the Interior Ministry shall work together on clarifying and simplifying the aviation and transport security demands for local airports within the Far East Federal District.
