The President issued instructions to introduce amendments to laws envisaged by the action plan for preventing the entry and spread of African swine fever on the territory of Russia.
Possible forms and procedures of hunters' participation in events aimed at regulating the wild boar population in public hunting lands and other territories that are habitats of wild boars to prevent the spread of African swine fever should also be considered.
It is recommended that heads of the supreme executive state bodies of the entities of the Russian Federation tighten veterinary control. Inspections of trade and catering organisations should also be conducted, including roadside outlets, in order to locate and prevent the sale of meat products without documents verifying their origin, quality and safety.
In addition, the President instructed the Ministry of Economic Development together with the Ministry of Agriculture to consider including agricultural experts into trade missions of the Russian Federation abroad, and to adopt corresponding decisions if required.
