The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to determine the contractor (service provider) with the necessary qualifications to preserve the special value cultural heritage site of the people of Russia, the Novodevichy Convent, as well as to correct defects in the facilities renovated in previous years.
The instructions also concern allocating the corresponding funding in 2018.
The Moscow Government with the participation of the Russian Orthodox Church have been instructed to create a museum exhibition centre.
The Novodevichy Convent, located in northwestern Moscow, was built in the 16h-17th centuries and is a part of the convent chain built to defend the city. The convent was closely involved in political, cultural and religious life in Russia. It is a masterpiece of Russian architecture (Moscow Baroque style).
