The Government of the Russian Federation has been instructed to submit proposals for additional federal budget allocations in 2024–2026 for the construction of scientific and educational infrastructure facilities at the Sarov branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University as part of the federal targeted investment programme.
The Government has also been instructed, with the participation of Rosatom State Corporation, to consider the creation and development of at least seven new unique laboratories at the National Physics and Mathematics Centre of Rosatom State Corporation, including at the expense of the federal budget, Rosatom’s own funds and other sources.
A number of instructions have been given to the Government together with Lomonosov Moscow State University, Rosatom State Corporation, the Federal Security Service of Russia and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region. They concern the financial support for research and educational activities of the Lomonosov University branch in Sarov, as well as the organisation of regular passenger transportation using the Sarov (Mius) airfield in the interests of the Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – National Research Institute of Experimental Physics, the Rosatom National Physics and Mathematics Centre as well as the pilgrimage and tourist cluster Arzamas – Diveyevo – Sarov in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The instructions to the Government together with Rosatom State Corporation, the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Kurchatov Institute National Research Centre concern the creation of three megascience-class research facilities at the National Physics and Mathematics Centre in order to obtain the first results of global significance by 2030.
