Instructions for the Government of the Russian Federation have to do with holding the Year of Peoples’ Unity of Russia in 2026, establishing a government commission for the implementation of the state national policy, adjusting the government programme on the implementation of the state national policy to align with the State National Policy Strategy for the period until 2036, preparing and submitting to the State Duma a draft federal law on defining the legal status of national cultural public associations, establishing a federal centre of competencies in the implementation of the state national policy, and providing information support for the implementation of the state national policy, as well as combating negative foreign information influence on interethnic relations.
The Government is also instructed to work together with the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations to coordinate support for organising the Sound of Eurasia national music project, the International Catherine Forum, and the RT.Doc: Time of Our Heroes international festival of documentary films.
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education is to work together with the Russian Academy of Sciences to prepare a comprehensive programme for interdisciplinary ethnographic research on the state-forming Russian people, which is to be implemented in 2026–2028.
The Russian Academy of Sciences has been instructed to improve the methods of sociological studies of interethnic and interfaith relations used by government bodies to assess the effectiveness of the state national policy of the Russian Federation.
