The law suspends certain provisions of the Federal Law On State Defence Order of December 27, 1995, and the Budget Code regarding the implementation of the state defence order and the state armament programme.
The federal law introduces an interim regulation, valid as of January 1, 2011, permitting the state to enter into arms supply contracts until 2020 before the President’s approval of the state armaments programme for 2011–2020 and within the projected budget allocations for the state armament programme. Once the programme is approved, state contracts for supplies of weaponry will be concluded within the volume of expenses set forth in this programme.
