The 2012 National Award named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov in in the field of armaments and military equipment has been awarded to:
– a group of experts for the establishment of a new class of materials to defend new generations of equipment from attack by modern and future ammunition, which contributes to a significant strengthening of Russia’s defence capability;
– a group of experts for the creation of an autonomous deep-sea submersible Consul as part of project 16811, which strengthens the national security of the Russian Federation.
The 2012 National Award named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov in literature and the arts has been awarded to Yury Vinogradov for a five-volume collection of plays that reveal the enormous scope of national heroism during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945 and the bravery and courage of the defenders of the Fatherland.
The title of Laureate of the Russian Federation National Award named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov is presented on the eve of Victory Day.
