The President appointed Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin his official representative in both chambers of the Federal Assembly in examining the draft Federal Law On the Advanced Research Foundation.
The draft federal law was developed in accordance with Presidential instructions on creating a non-governmental organisation (foundation) as an independent structure with the aim of ensuring government orders and supporting breakthrough high-risk research and development in the interests of national defence and security, modernising Russia’s Armed Forces, creating innovative technology and manufacturing military, special- and dual-purpose products.
The draft law defines the legal status, powers and functions, operations management, and methods for forming the assets of the Advanced Research Foundation to be created.
