The Agreement was signed on behalf of the Russian Federation on October 18, 2011 in St Petersburg.
It establishes the procedures for transferring narcotic substances, psychotropic substances and their precursors seized in illegal drug-trafficking operations for their subsequent use in investigative and examination activities, as well as for scientific and educational purposes.
The implementation of the Federal Law will allow the relevant agencies of the CIS member states to quickly exchange narcotic substances, psychotropic substances and their precursors seized in illegal drug trafficking in order to improve the fight against drugs.
