The Agreement, which was signed in Moscow on June 22, 2011, sets out the conditions for moving transport (road vehicle) inspections from the Russian-Belarusian and Russian-Kazakhstani borders to the Customs Union’s external borders. It also establishes the legal framework for organising information exchange between the respective transport inspection agencies in the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Implementing the Agreement will avoid duplication of international freight transport inspections, cut down inspection time, provide joint protection of national markets for international road transport services, and also ensure that foreign transport companies comply with the national permit system requirements in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
