The Federal Law aims to create a common legislative and regulatory base for the Customs Union in technical regulations and bring Russian legislation into line with Russia’s obligations in the Customs Union.
The agreement of November 18, 2010, on common principles and rules for technical regulation in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia states that compulsory standards and demands set by national law cease to apply from the day Customs Union technical regulations come into force.
