In order to optimise the Russian federal executive authorities’ efforts to integrate the Republic of Crimea and city of Sevastopol into Russia’s economic, financial, credit and legal systems, the President issued the instruction to establish the Ministry of Crimean Affairs.
The Ministry will draft state programmes to develop Crimea, coordinate their implementation, and monitor the work of the Crimea and Sevastopol authorities in exercising the powers delegated to them in accordance with Russian law.
The relevant instructions have been sent to the Russian Federation Government.
Mr Putin appointed Oleg Savelyev to the post of Minister of Crimean Affairs.
