In connection with the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, the President resolved to make a one-time payment between April and May 2015 to certain categories of citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in Russia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. They include disabled veterans and veterans of the Great Patriotic War, former underage prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and other forced detention facilities maintained by fascists and their allies during World War II, widows and widowers of service members who died during the war against Finland, the Great Patriotic War and the war against Japan, widows and widowers of disabled persons who had served and participated in the Great Patriotic War.
