The goal of the Agreement on Common Principles and Rules for the Circulation of Pharmaceuticals within the Framework of the Eurasian Economic Union is to create a common pharmaceuticals market within the Eurasian Economic Union, establish common principles and rules for their circulation, and eliminate unfounded restrictions to mutual trade.
In accordance with the Agreement, the Union member states must take the necessary measures to harmonise and unify their legislation with regard to the circulation of pharmaceuticals, including control in this area, and to adopt common rules for regulating the circulation of pharmaceuticals, ensuring common requirements for the safety, effectiveness and quality of pharmaceuticals, and common approaches to creating a system for ensuring the quality of pharmaceuticals.
