The Federal Law ratifies the Agreement on the Turkish Stream pipeline project between the governments of Russia and Turkey, signed in Istanbul on October 10, 2016.
The Agreement regulates the planning, construction and exploitation of two offshore and two onshore sections of the Turkish Stream pipeline for the supply of Russian natural gas to Turkey and for transit deliveries to countries adjacent to Turkey.
The pipeline will run across the Black Sea from the Russkaya compressor station in Russia’s Krasnodar Territory to a receiving terminal in Turkey and will consist of two strings with the aggregate annual throughput capacity of 31.5 billion cubic metres of gas.
