The agreement was signed in the village of Burabay (Kazakhstan), on October 16, 2015.
The agreement regulates matters concerning the establishment and activity of joint investigation and operations groups on CIS member states’ territory with the purpose of solving and investigating related crimes in criminal cases.
The agreement sets simplified procedures for coordinating the different members of these groups during procedural and (or) operations and investigation activity on the territory of two or more CIS countries.
The agreement respects the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union and does not contradict the Russian Federation’s other international agreements.
