The Protocol was signed on June 7, 2016 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The Protocol sets out the goals, regulation principles and the main requirements in the area of state and municipal purchasing in the states parties to the Agreement.
The Protocol provides for transitioning to online procurement based on competitive methods by January 1, 2018. This implies amending the national legislations of the Parties to the Agreement.
Furthermore, the Protocol provides for implementing technologies to ensure informational openness and transparency of purchases, as well as compatibility of the technological platforms.
The implementation of this Protocol will create conditions for deepening economic cooperation between the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
