The Marrakesh Treaty was adopted at the Diplomatic Conference of the World Intellectual Property Organisation in Marrakesh, Morocco, on June 27, 2013.
The Marrakesh Treaty sets forth a number of restrictions and exemptions from the copyright law that allow providing better access for the blind, visually impaired or otherwise print disabled people to books, magazines, study materials and other print publications. Additionally, the treaty facilitates international exchange of publications in formats accessible to the said categories of readers.
